Tome -- noun [tohm]
1. a book, esp. a very heavy, large, or learned book.
2. a volume forming a part of a larger work.
The Pages module is being renamed to Tome, pronounced tohm. The switch is a result of the now built in Pages module (beginning with EE 1.6.0). This also marks the beginning of the end for the Tome module. Users should attempt to develop using the built in functionality where ever possible. You’ll find that many of the features of Tome are already present in the built in module (and the missing ones may be patched up with an extension in the future).

Be sure to back up your extensions, modules, plugins and languages folder as well as your MySQL database before migrating. Failure to do so may result in a critical loss of data.
Stop: Do not run the updater if you are installing Tome for the first time. The updater is only needed if you have a copy of the Pages module installed prior to upgrading to 1.6.0
First, copy the update-pages.php file to your system directory. Then navigate to the update-pages.php file, usually located at your http://www.domain.com/system/update-pages.php, and run the update.
You may now safely remove the following files:
